Available weekdays, Saturday evenings after track maintenance and Sunday evenings after regular operations depending on equipment and volunteer crew availability. For those truly special occasions, charter the whole train – for a couple of hours or the entire day! Our friendly and helpful train crew will do everything possible to see that you and your guests have a good time. A vintage diesel locomotive pulls your four-car train consisting of open and covered viewing cars and a fully-enclosed coach. The four-car train has a capacity of up to 200 passengers. Additional cars with a capacity of 50 riders each may be added (for an extra fee) to reach a maximum capacity of 400 passengers per train. There is a mechanical lift at the depot to provide wheelchair access to the train. You can bring food and beverages on board your private train. There also is a picnic area near the depot that you may use. |
Diesel Train flat rate is $1,500 for first two hours, $500 for each additional hour, up to 200 passengers.* * Two-hour minimum For special services or more passengers, contact the Charter Agent. ( charter-agent@ncry.org ) Please note that we have a limit of three charters per month. First requested, first honored. Charters must be requested at least 2 weeks in advance. No train charters will be available between Oct. 1st 2009 and Jan. 15th 2010, due to our Train of Lights fundraiser. |
