History

Built as Central Pacific Railroad (CP) 5123; Renumbered to SP 5123 in 1931; Retired from passenger service and converted to crane support car SPMW 7014-B in the mid-1960’s. Renumbered SPMW 7072 in December 1968 and used with wrecker crane 7070. Crane 7070 and associated equipment in the Roseville relief outfit painted Daylight colors. Donated by Union Pacific to CSRM 2/1996; Donated by CSRM to PLA 2008. PLA moved to Niles Canyon on 7/28/2008, Under Restoration as of 1/2026, Brightside Yard, CA
