History

Built new as Texas & New Orleans Railway (T&NO) #193 (SP subsidiary) as RPO cars. Converted to RPO/Baggage late 1920’s or early 1930’s; Yosemite Valley Railway (YV) #107, Merced, CA; Virginia & Truckee Railroad (V&T)#23, Carson City, NV; A.D. Schader Company (Railroad contractor) (ADSX) #164, San Francisco, CA; Acquired by PLA, September 1968 – first piece of passenger equipment acquired by PLA; 

This car is used for storage while awaiting restoration. 

This is a Steel, Harriman Standard Round Roof Heavyweight.
